PLP For Week 5

This week I went back to fractions. I went back to 5th grade level, and I went over Fractions, converting them to decimal, and then to a percent.

I labeled everything on the worksheet, which I hope everyone can read my writing. But it labeled each step that I took to get to my answers. For example, based on the model, I would get my fraction. To get my fraction for the first problem it was 66/100. Then I turned it into a reduced fraction and got 33/50. Then I took 33 divided by 50 and it gave me the decimal of 0.66. To then get to the percent, I multiplied 0.66 x 100 and it gave me a percent of 66%. For an easier way, you can also move the decimal point, to places to the right to arrive at the percent.

My reflection part on this, is that it was a refresher, and I am glad that I decied to go back to fractions this week, because it appears, I need some more refreshing in this area. Although I was tempted to do 10 frames!

Thanks.
